August guest families visit from Copperas Cove

Ann & Keith Vandiver and Marc & Keri George and family
for a long weekend stay.

Marc and Keri brought along their two children, Valerie and Nick.

Keith and Marc are both on active duty stationed at Fort Hood.
They each have deployed a number of times to Iraq and Afghanistan
and Marc is about to depart for return tour - - their visit to Rockport
was a timely opportunity to escape from the central Texas heat and
and enjoy some quality coastal time.

of Coastal Bend Troop Support

where CBTS found Carla Reed welcomed them and provided a tour of the
all-volunteer operation - -
packing and shipping ‘care’ boxes to deployed troops
in Iraq and Afghanistan

- - the boxes include a wide assortment of warrior
essentials including: candy, snacks, lip balm, sunscreen,
chewing gum, magazines, stationery, and much more.
CBTS has shipped well over 9,000
boxes to our deployed troops.

Fort Hood family vacations in Rockport . . .

The Brashear family traveled from Fort Hood . . . . and made every vacation moment count.

Charles and Kristi brought their family for a well-deserved and hard-earned vacation - -

their children include Derek 12, Dillon 9, and Kassidi and Kallista 6.

Tomi and Louis Newhouse invited the Brashear’s out for a fun day on the water - -

and on their last evening in Rockport, they were special guests at the
ARANSAS CHAPTER CCA annual banquet and auction.
The evening included dinner catered by Castaway’s of Port Aransas.

July guests — the De Leon family

Benjamin and Danielle De Leon brought their 8 month old son Josiah to Rockport for some
well-deserved family vacation time.

Benjamin is a veteran of Iraq and Danielle continues serving on active duty.

The De Leon’s traveled from San Antonio - - this was Josiah’s first beach experience and
you can see in the photo he apparently likes the beach.

..midwest military family visits Rockport…

…..Kathy O’Dell, Sabrina Murphy, Jessica Ripper, Melissa Ruggero and Josephine Kemp
traveled from Kansas to vacation in Rockport in June.

Jessica’s spouse has served in Afghanistan and is currently serving in Iraq.

Melissa is about to deploy to the war and was able to join family and friends for a brief stay in Rockport.

guest family ‘on leave’ from the war

Greg - on leave from Iraq with Jorlynn and family...

Rockport For Veterans hosted Greg and Jorlynn
Giles and family.

Greg arrived home on leave from the war in
Iraq and brought his family to Rockport for
some well-deserved R&R.

Pamela served in Viet Nam as an Army nurse.
She is the proud mother of Greg and Gina.

Both Greg and James have served in Iraq.

The family enjoyed everything Rockport-Fulton has to offer –

Greg returned to his duty station in Iraq on July 4.

Rockport For Veterans hosts Afghanistan Veteran and Family

Rene and Kristen Trettenero-Rodriguez vacationed in Rockport while on leave from the Army.

Rene recently completed his tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Rene and Kristen underway...

. . . . during their visit Rene’s brother, Alex, and their parents also came
to discover Rockport-Fulton. The family found time to visit Corpus Christi,
tour THE LEX, take to the water on a fishing trip arranged
by a local Rockport couple, and sample some terrific coastal food
in area restaurants.

Chris, an Army combat veteran, and Daniela Mazander spent the long Memorial Day weekend as guests
of Rockport For Veterans. The Mazander’s traveled from San Antonio with their
four precious daughters: Naomi, Bekah, Hannah, and Bella

The Coastal Bend Troop Support of Rockport helped make the Mazander’s feel very welcome
by hosting them as special guests Saturday’s Craw Fish Boil

5th tour of duty in IRAQ….while mom and kids come to Rockport to fish

Two young sisters, Jasmin and Jordan came to Rockport with their mom traveling from Fort Hood.

Dad just redeployed for his 5TH tour of duty in the war.

While staying at Rockport For Veterans the Dockery family visited with Dennis and Nancy Paulson of Rockport - - and Jasmin celebrated her 5th birthday !
